client: comeback kicks
comeback kicks clean, repair, and resell previously owned shoes at an affordable price. their mission is not only to make quality footwear accessible to all but to reduce the impact that the fashion industry has on the planet. by extending the life of shoes they reduce garment waste and keep already produced shoes in circulation.
we started with the idea that the shoes that comeback kicks sells are being given a second life. visually things like wings and arrows were explored to subtly convey the idea. the client wanted a mark that was modern and minimal that could fit in with the likes of nike and converse, so we also explored acronym marks and letterforms.
ultimately the client decided that the best way to build brand equity with the mark was to utilize something that would be a quick and easy read that they sell shoes first and foremost.
